Porsche door pull idea

You know, de-chromed, big Porsche rims, Brembos, etc.,... German Look rules!

Porsche door pull idea

Post by Jadewombat »

I borrowed the old idea which Porsche has and still uses on their cars for years. I used some red strap from a tie-down strap as the webbing material, a strip of thin aluminum for the bracket, and a couple of very small self-tapping screws. I sheared the aluminum to the correct size and folded it over on the strap. The two screws and the tension of the bracket sandwiched on it should hold it in place (as long as my daughter doesn't try to hang on the strap, :) ).

I am having to replace inner door panels and have toyed with the idea of door pull strap instead of the armrest. But, I do like being able to rest my arm on the armrest (hence the name I suppose).
