What color is that camel lookig interior? And where did you order it from?
I am planning on going that route in the future with Spanish Olive Green paint.

Hi, the tan interior is custom made by an upholsterer here in my home town. I have no idea of the colour code as I just flipped through all his colour samples before choosing this one. I went back to get the sub box covered in vinyl and the one I originally chose was out of production so I had to choose something as close as possible.

I pretuned the dual 40 dells (with cb performance update kit and ceramic coated manifolds) before bolting them up.
Image

After struggling with the limited access to manifolds nuts for an hour and a half, I finally got them into position! Slowly but surely its getting closer. Dizzy is wired up along with oil pressure and temperatue sender.

Started playing with the battery clamp (aluminium) and mdf surround....
Image

The two long bolts will go through the floor up through the mdf and aluminium (through those two holes). The mdf will be fixed to the battery clamp and supported underneath the fuse block which can be seen here.

Of course the mdf will be tidied up, edge routed (roundover) and painted in body colour to match fuse panel box...and aluminium will be milled and polished.

No major progress - just prepped and painted the battery surround in two pack base/clear - will look pretty nice for something that no-one else will see! I'll have to lift the backseat up at shows ;)

Hopefully more progress pics next weekend if the car is back from the trimmer by then.

I was debating whether to fill my exhaust cut outs in the rear apron and then I saw this exhaust...damn!!!! they should sell those to the masses!!!!

Great car, I just hope my car comes out half as nice as yours.

Here is a photoshop of what I hope my car looks like...except maybe frenching the headlights.

Car is home again - here are a few pics of the beetle - home once again.
The canvas ragtop turned out very well:

The trimmer did a great job on the headliner - its supposed to sag a little as there needs to be enough slack for when the top is open:

Didn't have a huge choice in carpets but it turned out pretty well:
