I recently install a new and fresh wiring harness in my 69 Beetle. However I hate the way the fuse block and all the surrounding wires look.
This is a two part question:
Are there any good ideas out there for stream lining some of this crap? Are there certain wires that I real don't need, like the brake indicator light? And others I can bundle together so there isn't so many of them.
And has anyone changed out there OEM Fuse block with a 12 circuit universal fuse block GM, like the one Painless wiring offers. It’s a modern upgrade but I don't know if it will work with OEM wiring.
Somebody help I hate the look and I have suspicion that it might be a fire hazard. Did I mention I hate messy wires.
Thanks
I hate spaghetti (Wiring)

Drew! How the hell are ya? I missed the Ypsi show, did you make it?
I used Nissan fuse blocks and relay blocks. They are modular and you can snap rows of relay blocks or fuse blocks together to make a nice neat block. Go to the junk yard and snag a bunch of em. I got a few dozen relays/plugs and a couple fuse blocks for $45. I cut up some sheet metal with tin snips to make some tools for removing the terminals from the plugs. Then I just soldered/heatshrunk my wiring harness to the terminals.
