I recieved this email today from the president of California Import Parts:
Message from the President.
Spring is officially here and Cip1 has some new items in stock which will make your spring time projects move along much smoother. We have also heard that Bosch of America has DISCONTINUED the Bosh 009 mechanical advance distributor, so we have made a large purchase of these 009's and will hold our super low prices of $44.95 as long as we can. We will guarantee this price for one more week, after that we can't cannot say how high it may go. Play it safe and order your today.

009 WILL NO LONGER BE MADE!!!!

Bye, Bye flat spots and "Screamer kits"
One less thing for the parts pigs to throw out on newbies...
I'm sure the big boys have bought pallets of em to sit on for a few years and reintroduce for huge bucks.
I hate them so bad that we made a launcher for them, fire them 500 yards into the pasture clear out of sight! It just sucks when you are bush hoggin and hit one with the blade!
SEE YA!

I have used the 009's up till now. I really never had any problems with them but then again, I do not have dyno to notice the difference. I am now using an MSD Billet distributor and the MSD-6AL system and it seems to work excellent. What would be your recommendations to everyone if just trying to build a stocker or low budget motor where they will not need all the high tech ignition stuff. Just a wondering (I mean wasting time until it is time to leave)
