Rear luggage tray help needed.

Post by Oldschoolblake »

I have a 71 standard beetle that basically has no luggage tray left over the transmission. I have a 74 standard retiree baja that I would like to remove the luggage tray area from and graft it into the 71.
I can't really see where the tray attaches to the wheel wells and under the back glass. I've searched a little and haven't found a how to guide or some pictures in a build thread that shows what I need to see before I cut the wrong area off.
Id like to cut the donor peice out so that i can reuse the factory spot weld type application, though this is a baja play car so it doesn't have to be perfect; just affective.
Also, Both bodies are off of their pan and I have the 71 body on my car lift so maybe it will be easy to do.
Thanks y'all.
