Do you have or can suggest a good reference for choosing a camshaft for the aircooled engine? I hate asking "Gee what would you run, and why? Because Jimmy Joe ran that cam....man was that car fast...." I've been playing with these engines for a while, and am embarrassed to say that this is one area that I've neglected. I know it's the whole combo heads, intake, cam, piston speed(rod length), CR and exhaust. But without understanding what the cam card is telling me I'm in the dark.
I plan on running tunable FI so I can fudge it to work, but I'm thinking if the engine is efficient to start with I shouldn't have to band aid it with a laptop.

Bob Hoover has an article about cams and learning camlobian. Search "dialing in your cam".
