I wouldn’t run without it..
CB has had some issues of fuel rails coming off and burning the car up.
Eric Allred I think.....had that happen.

You'll have at a minimum 43psi trying to push those injectors out of the rails, more when the boost kicks in. Secure them well.

I think i only have 2 or 3 three of my injector held in with those retainers. Its my ghetto flat pieces of aluminum square stock with a hole drilled through them that are really holding the whole package together. Works fine. Just make sure it can't move.

I think i'm going to cut away the little tabs on the bottom groove of the injector. That way the injectors can be slide over the bracket.

I modified the injectors, the securing clip now fits nicely arround the groove on the injector:

Can't really tell what you did, but I'm glad you got it sorted out!

There are2 grooves on the top of the injector.
One was not fully free, meaning i couldnt turn the injector securing clip the needed 90° arround to have the wires pointing the engine shroud.

So you had brand new CB parts that you had to modify your injectors to fit ?

Goddamn fuel...

I filled the buggy up this morning when i drove it to work.
Forgot i did that when i drove home. Some good cornering later and fuel came out of the vent tube again.
I gotta fix that this winter when the hood is off for fuel tank acces for efi conversion.

But when the buggy was in the garage for an hour or 3 the garage was still stinking of petrol.

When i looked under the fuel tank the big nipple was leaking on the front part of the tunnel.

I cleaned everything and tightened the big 22mm fuel outlet
I could give it 1/4 to 1/2 turns untill it was verry tight.

I hope that fixed the leaking. Ive put a little jar under the tank that will catch leaking fuel just in case....

Goddamn, my biggest fear is having the car on fire and burning the house down....

stock VW tank? I use a tap a threaded a 1/4" NPT which is tapered on my bus cus the dame stock screen thing wouldn't quit leaking Do a search in the bus forums
