Compression disparity

Post by russazbuggy » Wed Oct 03, 2018 10:58 am

Hi All,

I have a newly built stock 1600dp in my 66 dune buggy. It runs 120psi across all four cylinders. The motor I pulled out ran 175 across 1-3 with a dead #4. What would cause this disparity? I do not know the history of the motor I pulled out.

Any information is appreciated, thanks.

Are you wondering why you have a dead number 4 or 120 on all 4 cyl vs 170 on the other motor
