There's no way the sender will fit in the stock location so I need to buy the flexible extension. Where is the best place to clamp the sender to?

hmmn, I would say around the manifold area on the left bank.. Make sure you run a ground wire to the sender also, sometimes that hose does not give an adequate ground and it will read low pressure when its really not.

I'm using the extension kit from
John
With a VDO sensor, lack of ground causes the meter to peg. I had that problem at first. An aligator clip has it working for me at the moment. Once I make a nice mounting bracket out of brass and braze it to the M10x1->AN adapter and bolt it to the compartment wall, I should be good.

yep, VDO used to make a relocation kit that included a nice galvanized metal clamp that you would bolt to a suitable ground but they don't anymore.

ours is stainless steel braided so doesn't require a ground due to a rubber hose.

Give us a mounting bracket and your relocation kit is perfect, IMHO.
