Chenowth Explorer A-Arm Build

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Looks like a whole lotta fun right there. Have fun at the dunes! I'll be there on Thanksgiving as well, but on the exact opposite end of the dunes. I'd like to see your 'rail in person though. Maybe I can plan a day to head to Glamis and hook up with you, and whatever other STF guys can make it.

Maybe we could do a meet or something at Oldsmobile or something. I have been looking into it, you can get from Mammoth Wash down regular Glamis by following the canal. Its about a 17 mile trip.

Where are you guys camping?

We camp at Ogilby. I can only access the sand highway from a 1/4 mile wide corridor near Gordon's Well. Then I'd have to drive 14 miles along it to get to China Wall.

Yeah. I've driven from Patton Valley to China Wall before, down the sand highway, then back to camp thru the dunes. That was a long trip. Some of the quads ran out of gas in fact.
Now, however, I can't even get to the sand highway from Patton Valley.

We were at Gordons a week ago. Pattons is almost surrounded by closure. You cant even access it from sand highway. Its very confusing especially out in the dunes. Sometimes we were riding and came upon closure signs only to find out we had spent the last 30 minutes in the new closure area.

Just having them sit side by side and looking at the machine work is enough reason to swap alone. You truly get what you pay for.
