Jake or charles,

Im going to put my pistons in tonight and had a couple questions before i complete the assembly. The rings appear to be pre gapped? What is the acceptable range before i need to file them?

Is the ring gap stagger the same as on a standard type four piston? 120 degree stagger.

double check the ring gaps... Use the spec from JE included in the piston box... I run about .018 on the second ring and .016 on the top

Thanks, any concern with the oil ring? Seems pretty tight and one piece outer

about .030 gap on the rsr one piece oil ring jake? having trouble finding a spec for that.

Charles said they switched to JE rings on the later sets, set 0006 still came with the RSR rings. Crimson's probably did to.

Yep... I have only used two sets with the 3.8 RSR rings..

Any luck with an rsr spec? or do you think the .030 is ok? mine are at .004 as they come out of the wrapper. Too tight for my liking.
