I tried searching for the answer, but need help.
I will be removing body from chasis this weekend. I have read that the body might bend or twist and will not line back up later. I also read that welding a bar to A abd B pilar will stop this. So my question is where exactly(upper lower by the rocker or roof) and what direction on the pilars(front back / driver to passenger)?
Can anyone help with specifics??????

IMO you won't need any support when just removing a body. Since when you're done you'll be bolting the body back on the same bolt holes, tehre's no point on supporting it. If you'll be cutting the roof off or chopping the top, then you'd need extra support. But the roof isn't going anywhere, it'll stay intact with the body. Yes, the body may twist a tiny bit, but it will go back to stock location when you bolt it back up.

Yeah, Id say the same as Nick, the only time I've heard of major bend is the fact that if the car is a POS and the channels are rusted out. If it's solid, I wouldn't worry about it either ....
For my Squareback project, I did weld angle iron into the A and B pillar only because the channels were rotted right out ....

I had the body off of my pan to replace the heater channels. I did not weld in any braces. I removed and replaced the channels one side at a time. I measured the distance between the A and B pillars on each side and then the distance from the A pillar on the drivers side to the A pillar on the passenger side and then from b pillar to b pillar BEFORE cutting out the heater channels. After cutting out a channel, none of my measurements changed. So then after getting both channels welded in, all of the dimensions remained the same. The roof really provides support. With that said, if I had it to do over again, I would probably really consider the bracing. While the roof does support things with the channels removed, it would not take very much deformation of the door openings to make things very unpleasant when you go to put your doors back on...
