Re: Type 4 to V8 NA to V8 NOS to 600 HP V8 Turbo conversion
Had a tough raceweekend.
The car has now S8 engine not any ore A8 engine (different cam and lifters) With realli mild boost we pulled some power and better times and speed
Quickest run (couldnt go faster or we would be disqualified because we have no rollcage)
Power from wheels:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fr5ea4y ... e=youtu.be
But we were able to won the race
for second day we had tuned the rear axle and car found some more grip with second gear and we got 0.2s off from 1/8th but we were not allowed to pull till end....so it goes actually 9.6@ quarter with 232km/h and 6.2 @ 185 km/h on 1/8th mile
The car is still for sale and now it pulls to massive wheelstand with second gear and goes so until shifting to 3rd @ 110 km/h

It happened after the race and nobody filmed it
I hope to make it once more on next event with cam witnesses.
Until that please enjoy my launch with new axle tune:

I thought you had a cage in it. Wow. Installing a cage might help you sell it if it's that fast.

Re: Type 4 to V8 NA to V8 NOS to 600 HP V8 Turbo conversion
As you can see, there was sheetmetal body and only rollbar not eaven a cage. So I could go only 10.0 not faster because of our dragrace rules.
I thaught that I pass making a cage to my body and go ahead with new tubular frame. There were some problems with my rear end and I would like to build it once more and way better (lighter, stronger, straighter) . My plan is to get it to 8s next season and I have one more plan...
If somebody pays I think I would make some extra rear ends or eaven total tubular frame and custom rear axle for that type of audi engine and gearbox under beetle body. ...just if anybody is interested of going to 10 or 9 or maybe to 8 seconds with cheap stock engine and stock gearbox What do you think? Or should I make it for street cars so it could be hidden?
