Sounds like a very nice set up.

Any pictures of the new intake? Why a down size to 1300cc?

no idea how to post pictures here. but just portet them a bit on the outside and put a 42mm inner diameter pipe on them with 47mm throttlebody.
downsizing because the setup is for low displacement and i want a fuel saver, could get the same hp and way more torque with 1600cc but less rpm. i shift from 1. to 2. sometimes at 8000rpm. 2. to 3. at about 7500 rpm. i thought less torque will help the transmission to last longer so i wanted to stay max 300nm of torque . the earliere engine 1641cc had 335nm but just 165hp and a way smaller rpm range at 1,3 bar max hp at 4900 now with the smaller engine 1,3 bar of boost i have max hp at 6800rpm (225hp/260nm)and with 1,8 down to 1,6 bar at 6300rpm(250hp/293nm). and it drives smoth and nice with 0,5bar...i use a 4 port boost controll so i have a range from 0,5 bar to 2 bar that i can use in this setup. i hope to get under 7 liter on 100km. thats the next challenge. the 1641cc had with sporty driving 7,8l fuel on 100km.

0-100km/h in 5,01s with alot of grip problems 205/70 r15 winter tires i bet with better driving skills it gets into the 4,x sec
and the sound is very quiet, its more quiet than a stock beetle as long you don't pull hard. idle soft at 700rpm. but i used to have it at 800rpm.

Posting pix is easy... video is harder. Page down and look for "Attachments" then click on it.

Up will come some dialogue but for single pix (you can do this many times) you click on the "Add files" button.

This will allow you to click on a pix in your file to be added. You have to limit you size though. I edit down to 640 X 480 pixels which is the common edit size based on the standard my camera works to. Some go a bit larger and some smaller.

When you do that the pix digits will be shown in a form that allows you to post or delete if you want to. Click "post" and it will put the pix where you want it assuming you have marked a place for it to post (it is easy to figure out if it isn't were you want it delete the post and resend it to the proper spot.

It sounds hard but it isn't.

the pics are also in the bugfans page....even from the manifolds. the engine is done, have no ideas to improve, next step is getting it road legal.
300hp sounds like a nice and doable goal but with that low displacement i would loose torque low down.
launchcontroll would be nice to get under 5 sec 0-100km/h but thats it. next step is to perfection the maps to make it super low fuel consulmting with 0,5 -0,8 bar of boost. and try to get it to 2 bar. now i am at 1,75 bar of boost
