With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

I found that Wolfsburg West sells the spring. I found a few other things that they have. So I just may order one or two. That adjuster used to tighten the shoe on that side all the time.

Closing on our dream home August 28th. It’s only a few miles from where we rent. Have to make the bug drivable. Unless I whip up a 3” narrowed tow bar.

That's great news! Could always call for a roll back if you needed to.

I think I’m putting dual 40 dells on for now. I sold the ICT’s and I’m not messing with the single 40. My new house is 10 minutes away.

I’m semi organized in the new house. So I pulled the engine today. I also built a low engine stand so I can start engines on it. Hopefully that will help with tuning. Going to put cut the heads for dual springs and add 1.25 rockers. Maybe cut the step out of the chambers. Then tune the hell out of this 40 dellorto and add the turbo.

Ya know your 'final tune' will be under a load ,,, can't do that on a test stand unfortunately :?

My biggest concern is getting the single carb running and idling good enough to even consider adding the turbo. They apparently are a challenge lol. I probably won’t run the turbo on the stand.

I second the use of the WRX unit. I'm currently running a TD04L off of a 2005 WRX on my 1600 EFI. I'm in boost at 2500-2800 rpm and will support 200-250hp. Alot of Scooby owners upgrade their stock turbos and alot of these stockers get tossed out.
