It’s takes up more space than expected. There’s two guys running around here with stock carbs and small Golf turbos. Them things are tiny.

Yes they do. And when you have to clock them for the inlet and outlet and drain to be just right it's even more tricky. Try putting it under the car!! Many of us are using a WRX turbo and they are super small too.

Where an external wastegate is helpful for space some times

I really was never going for stealth mode. But, it better move if I have it all hanging out there. My plans are to cut up a stock deck lid. That’s a ways off.

I personally really like the look of a turbo hanging out the back. Looks tough!

Mines all hanging out ,no valance ,no lid, wish it was hidden, not sure if the pole eec will like what they see, suppose i could make one of those aluminum boxes ,but saying that the BAJA boys get away with it so why not me.

I’ve thought about making an aluminum drag style wing. But, mounted to the deck lid instead of the body. The blue bug has a body mounted wing.

My Intercooler is mounted to the cooling fins you could easily do a wing. I stole the idea from one.

For sure. And it would help keep the rain out/off of things.

I had a 'wing' on my old Blue Drag Bug , It did keep the ass down going thew the traps,, and it made a great 'tool tray'
decided not to have one on the white bug,,, rain is not an Issue, I just WD-40 the cap & wires

I hooked a spare vacuum advance can to the carb and it pulls back. But I feel the pulsing. Would a check valve fix that and would the vacuum advance still work properly with the check valve? I just keep thinking that the valve will hold it open.

I did some reading on smoothing out the vacuum pulses. Anti-pulse valves are out there. But are like $30. A simple moped fuel filter supposedly works.

Been welding on my custom turbo header. Haven’t been posting. But actually getting some work done. Also, managed to break the spring metal thing on the rear brake adjuster.
