Wbx cranks are among the strongest around. Power shouldn't be an isue.
Not sure about the rpm limit.
I'm gonna use it and plan on seeing 7000 regularly.

Rocky Jennings sells adapter bearing setups and T1 lifter adapter bushes, dig back in the forum a bit.
(Sorry, the STF search function still is borken, but Google site search works)

The std WBX crank uses the same 5x12mm bolt setup a T4 uses, and a T4 sized main at that location as well...
To ME, that would be the best reason to run a welded WBX crank vs. a Chinese wonder.

(Ideally, go all T4 mains, there are also adapter bearings for that... from some BMW IIRC)
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I help about 2-3 month do a boxer conversion from water to air and also help many to do a boxer watercooled rebuild. If you would like to email me I can help you with the best block to start with and the main bearing you will need to do the t-1 crank into a boxer block.
