A "new" nosecone mount may happen this week, made from a SBC engine mount. (TBD)

Want to stay with stock for the moment. Dreaming of UN1-box. But have to make shure not to lose my historical registration. Loosing it would lead to painfull taxes for the T3. Maybe the 914-box is the only historical correct conversion.
Whats new in mind is a sportomatic from early 911. But seems to be the most expensive way. Boxes are cheap, spareparts are unaffordable.

If I had to do it again, I'd probably weld in some CrMo tubing for faux frame horns and a kafer style brace tying everything to the rear suspension, and go with a mid mount, skipping the rear bar entirely. (sort of make a rear subframe all attached to the T3 torsion)
It may happen yet...
My idea with that is the porsche style:

Then the nosecone can proper handle motor rock/torquing the first time
IMHO the rear bar is a perfect place for mounting the haevy T4 engine. Woudnt skip it.
