Today I bought a DJ engine for little money for the crank and pistons. but it has new Kolben Schmidt big port heads and new pistons and liners.... sometimes I have some luck

What set it on fire? If it was an electrical fire, the engine may have survived, but if it's what caused the fire you might not be as lucky. Still, might be able to salvage those parts - good find!
I have never seen a catalitic converterlike that before? and my bet is on a bad fuel hose fire as it looks fuel injected and if the fuel hoses are not taken care of with age it can lead to that.

ajdenette you are right... engine was just rebuilt and an old feul hose cracked.... The inside of the engine looks new, even the cam also the oilpump drive has no wear signs. It had also LPG injection so the inside was clean too. The rubber headseals where ok too (no melting)
