So now that I know what the vac signature looks like with the new intake I went through and remapped the fuel and spark to take advantage of the extra vacuum. After about 20 minutes of tuning it was running so awesome I had to make a video.

It sounds great! I bet you were able to get your idle closer to where you wanted it, with the better vacuum. I wish i had more vacuum... -probably better gas mileage and drivability.

The idle is better but I'm still trying to figure out what the motor wants for fuel and timing at idle. I redid the indexing on my maps to a more standard way, it should net better mileage.

My exhaust hates me....

I swapped in my old heat delete pipe (remember the muriatic acid experiment) so I can keep the notch on the road...it's nice and quite again. I suspect this has been an issue for a while and finally completely failed last week. If my boy can't fix it then I'll have to buy another one

Should be easy if you have a shell motor you can throw together for a jig.

zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.

I agree with Pile; this is a great time to make some stub tubes and be done with this problem once and for all. What size are your primaries 1.5", 1.62"?? I made mandrels to make the oval and swuare stub tubes about 5 years ago. They are a piece of cake if you need help.

Well crap, it's been too long since I posted anything on here, unacceptable. So the ninja notch has be running awesome, about a month ago I went through the tune and got the cold start stuff sorted out and quick retune, apparently I had an exhaust leak. Regardless, this thing pulls like a boss in the cold and just runs awesome. I'm still busy with the bus then I'll shift my focus back to the notch, i'm really itching to do the IRS swap and 914 5 speed install with a side of 944T brakes

Bump for some updates. Also, I've got 2 924 Turbo cars I'm parting out, if you wanted the complete rear susp with alum trailing arms and brakes and stuff. Just sayin...

GHG- I'm going to pass on the alloy arms, going to keep them steel for the friendlier offset.
Updates- My daily took a crap on my, just broke a motor mount and will use this as an excuse to replace a bunch of crap on it, so the notch has been my daily for the last 3 weeks. I put an average of 700 miles on it a week so this has been a great chance to sort stuff out on the car. So far my list of failures have been 2 axle boots, wiper switch, and a VR sensor.
I got the tune running titties so I had to start over and try out simultaneous fueling...running good is boring. I did that this morning and only really sorted out the WOT stuff, but I got a 3+ hour drive to make tonight so the cruise cells should be perfected soon enough. I switched from alternate because I just got sick and tired of the tune being spot on some times and lean or rich sometimes. That's caused by not using a cam sensor and the MS not knowing if the missing tooth is on the intake or power stroke. I figured it wouldn't matter if the fueling is squirting all the inj at the same time.

924 turbo don't have aluminum arms. They have steel arms same early 944.
