Low Impedance Injectors

Post by luftvagon »

I'm trying to reuse several of my parts on the vanagon -- resistor bank being one of them.

Microsquirt calls for 1 power lead split via 2 x 5 AMP into injectors 1,2 and 3,4. I need to put these resistors inline. What would be recommended way of wiring this inline?

Put fuses in front or behind the resistors?

Haven't used the low-impedance injectors, but from what I understand you don't need the resistors with MS (I'm assuming you mean Megasquirt based on your other posts). You just wire the injectors directly to the bank 1 and bank 2 and adjust the PWM time and current limit:

IIRC those resistor packs are wired 1 in and 4 out through the resistors in parallel.
(uS needs them to run lowZ injectors)

Use it to supply switched 12v to the lowZ injectors.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

several options i can think of,

main relay > 1x5AMP fuse (or should it now be 10 amp since i am combining both banks through 1 resistor?) > resistor = injectorbank 1, injector bank2
or main relay > resistor = 1x5AMP fuse bank1, 1x5AMP fuse bank2
