After a year of dragging my feet I have finally decided to sell my baby where it all began; here! I will EBay it if no one here moves on it but I wanted to offer it here where people know the difference and appreciate a quality "non-rust bucket" Ghia. I have moved on and need to finance my newest project. This car is the most "rust-free" KG you are likely to find. Private inspections are encouraged. No brag, just fact. I have put appx. 5000 miles on this car since resto and start it once a week. Period correct seats (one year only).
All body rubber, carpet paint ($4500 paint {'92 Ford Competition Red, colour code EY}), entire suspension and complete braking system were done in 2002 with pic's during resto. OG 1500cc sp and OG tranny. 86,000 miles. I retained the OG radio and faceplate for future but currently has a modern Blaupunkt/cd/Jensen Triacs. CP steelies. Very attractive car. Reliable, runs and shifts perfectly. All locks were rekeyed and common. Dash is NOT cracked. Professionally tinted (3M) windows. Bumpers are complete w/ overriders, seals and in excellant shape. Interior and headliner were replaced during resto, also.
The bad: It needs an ignition switch. The paint shop messed it up in 2002 and I never changed it.
Yes it works, just sticks.
: The horn took on a life of it's own so I disconnected it.
: Charcoal cannister was removed by PO and I never replaced it.
: Clock loses 10 min's every week and needs to be calibrated.
