General EFI at start up settings
OK -- at start up on a cold engine
1) Are any of you putting in ignition advance based on oil/head temp and if so, about how much .. AND which are you using oil or head temps????
2) In general terms (probably % wise would be the best) how much richer are you dialing in based on oil/head temp
I'm chasing the tune on my big turbo engine and it is starting to piss me off LOL
I can add 1 sec amounts and 20 sec amounts for general startups and also temp based start ups AND I have a general enrichment based on oil temps
Thanks guys for your input

Electromotive -- but general setup as far as % over normal should still kinda apply

This probably goes without saying but you are varying spark OR fuel for getting the correct settings at startup, but not both, correct? If you have a good strong spark, I wouldn't try varying it at startup but that's just me. Try just adjusting the fuel settings.

Re: General EFI at start up settings
I grabbed a screen shot of my coolant based enrichment. I forgot a screen shot of my cranking and post start up configuration. The numbers shown represent a multiplier factor applied to the base map fuel value. This will likely need more adjustment later as I get my base maps dialed in better.

I had the car starting in 0 degree Fahrenheit weather this winter which is -17 Celsius (off the end of the map like Columbus). BTW my Wiseco forged pistons sound like a diesel engine on very cold startup.
More details. The sensor is installed in the bottom of the cylinder head.

I will get a shot of my cranking and startup settings too.

Do you have a "post start" or "start fuelling" enrichment capability as it makes tuning cold start much easier

Yes -- been playing with those settings --
today tried something different -- I turned the key on, let everything cycle through, then sat there for 10-15 seconds, then hit the starter -- -- fired right up -- -- go figure

Re: General EFI at start up settings
The fuel pump is controled by the GPO and it is set at 2 seconds and the regulator is set at 43 PSI -- the injectors were just cleaned and checked by RC eng just prior to this install and all the fuel has been running through a 10 micron filter (E85) -- so I don't think (famous last words) that the injectors are at issue
My setup:::::
SE0: 30%
SE1: 20%
PW0: 4ms
CLT0: 40
ASE0: 20%
ASE1: 0%
My TOG is at 10 with the IOT at .75
but where the engine is idling at I've pulled 20% out from the VE table -- injector pulsewidth is floating between 2.8 and 3 in that area.
Warm-up enrichments is at 80 for 0* and below and then tapers 30@10* -- 10@20*&30* -- then 8@40*
