ecotec swap
hey STF, i need some help. Im doing an engine swap in my buggy, i was told the motor was out of a 2003 cavalier and its the 2.2L ecotec. The problem im running into is the fuel system right now. It has the stock fuel rail on there with no return line, is this correct? if so any one have any opinions on what pump to use or how they would set up to give me a few ideas? anything helps right now thanks. here is a couple pics of what i got so far.

No they are an in tank fuel pump. I could if I wanted to take the tank somewhere and have the stock one welded in but i would like to stay away from that. I would really like to do an inline fuel pump

Just find out the pressure GM used for the EcoTec engines and get an external tank pump and a regulator if need be. Pressure is pressure and most aftermarket pumps nowadays can keep up with the volume for most FI systems. If it's around 35-40psi you should even be able to use a Bosch pump that VW used with their injection systems '75-on.
As for the lines, either try 'T'ing them to the pump or run a separate return line to the tank, either a breather fitting on top of the tank or the fill hose.
