The CC plate edge is flat (interior may have a slight dome of known CC to aid getting air bubbles out), as is the chamber sealing surface, the bore diameter//area is never in play when CCing (most) heads.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I'm missing something here.
The cylinder is up inside the head, yes?
So to be accurate, the CC plate , for a Wasser, will fit inside the head which means that its OD is the same as the heads register OD?

The chamber sealing surface is flat.
So is most of the chamber.
How big the hole is around it is irrelevant.
Once you do it it will make sense.

I suppose I'd have to find a way to cut the plate to fit down into the head, correct?

A WBX head is flat??? all ready, so no need to make the plate round?

Yeah but the cylinder fits into the head. I would need the cc plate to set down in there. I'm thinking the od of the cylinder is ~106mm.

Cc'ing WBX heads can be a bit tricky as the intake at least sticks up above the deck on the inner edge.
(if the seats have not been sunk excessively)
The deck checking disc may need a valve relief.
Many of the commercial discs have a shallow dish in them to allow air to escape, should have a known cc volume... might clear.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe having the .040 head sealing gasket would help.
Can I get a plate exclusively for the Wasser?
An old head porting/chamber tweak was to sink the intake valve.
Just gonna have to make time to get into this thing.

A little vaseline on the head gasket is likely to do the trick, or very close.
