seats

i have a slight problem with my seats, i cannot get them to move forward and backward, everytime i want to take them out i have to get in the back seat, put my feet on the back of the seat and push the seat out with my feet while someone pulls on the lever. does any one know what the problem is? basically when i go to move the seats forward or backward there is no movement.

Mabye your seat rails need some lubrication. Take the seats out of the car, and grease up the rails on the seat, and the tracks that they fit into.

maybe something is wrong with the seats itself. look underneath the seat and you will find a metal rod that goes from on side of the seat to the other. make sure that is connected to the other side of the seat rail. that makes the rails on each side move together. they both have to move upwards for the seat to move at all. i hope that isn't to confusing. if it is i have a set of late model ghia seats that i need to get rid of. e-mail me if you are interested.
