The harness isn't placed yet but this is the left (drive side) heater channel. This is the boot off of the Subaru added to a block off plate. The Suby harness runs through here back to the engine. Because this is a 72 Square it previously came with fuel injection. I tied my return fuel line into the return line that was stubbed next to the heater channel.

Homemade fiberglass fan shroud. Stretch cloth over a pattern and apply fiber glass resin. You can see the radiator support under the shroud.

Herers some pix of the finished product. You can see my radiator filling/overflow tank. It is the high point in the system. The manifold has been reversed. The engine harness has been reversed to the left. Single fan located slightly off center. Air intake tube modified with PVC pipe and I had to utilize fiberglass to create a bevel at the section near the fan. Area at IAC and coil are pretty crowded. With all the plugs and emission tubes I didnt use the PVC valve.

Close up of the shroud and how the radiator fits up to it. You can also see the original boot clamp holding it on to the duct outlet.

The throttle cable running under the manifold vs on top. Used some of the suby cable and liner and made crude brackets. Used a cable clamp to connect them both.

Hard to see but the alternator has a bracket keeping it stationary and I utilized the AC idler pulley as the adjustment for the alt belt. You can just see the spacers for the pulley that get it aligned with the crank and alternator pulleys.

This is my mustache bar. It but hangs on the original rubber bushings/hangers. I just turned them to face parallel with the car not perpendicular.

The mustache bar was the second version. The first was made with flat steel. No matter how many attempts I made to beef it up it just kept flexing.

The first version of the overflow tank was much large. After it was tack welded, I cut it down to size you see here.

Let me know what you think.

Ok a lot has happened and been done since my last post;

The radiator wouldn't cut it in the back. It was Ok with just idling, but once the engine was put under any kind of load it relied on the fans way to much Temps were hitting 210 and wanting to go higher.

I took the plunge and moved the rad up front. It is in the spare tire wheel well, It is shrouded so the air goes over it and out the spare tire pre-cut hole in the body. I used 1 inch 16g aluminum tubing from Lowes.

My weird idle issues have bben solved by replacing the temp sensor that the ECU took reading off of. That bugger caused more problems than I could imagine.

Any way, all is up and running. It is great to have finally finished it. Success.
