64 Experiment
I'm the proud new owner of a 64 that was lower I'm looking to restore it to its original ride height. how do I fix the rear end?

You'll need to reset the rear torsion bars to factory specs. Not rocket science but definitely an adventure if you've never done it before. Here's a worthwhile read for you before we get down to specifics.

'bout halfway through the `64 model year the springplate angle spec was increased by a degree. Check your VIN number against these specs:

...or just split the difference and shoot for ~17°. If the P.O. didn't replace the rubber bushings on the torsion bars when he lowered it, odds are you'll need to do it.
Note that the holes in the springplates are slotted to allow for toe adjustment. Often you can discern the original position by inspecting them closely...good idea to mark around the axle flanges with a scribe before you loosen anything.
