body removal?

Post by wbx »

This weekend, we found a late model ghia with a thrashed body, but a cherry pan with not a spec of rust. This would be a perfect replacement for our '65 with the nice body but quite religious pan (holy). I've looked in the archives and see that the rear body mounts needs to be moved to accomodate the early body style, but how do you take the body off in the first place? Does anyone know if the oft-mentioned bug-me video comes on DVD (we don't have anything to watch VHS)? How many people do you need to pull a body? Obviously, i still need to do a bit of reading up before we tackle it...

Any other tips for a full weekend day excursion would be appreciated.

Thanks,
