I have had my bus for a few years never changed the condenser. It looks like I have to pull the distributor to change the condenser. Is that SOP?

I would think you can loosen and turn your dizzy to get at the condensor, it is just a capacitor,, other wise it isnt a big deal to time your dizzy and then pop it out lub it all up replace the o-ring ( flat on one side ) swap out the condensor, pop it back in set the timing and pop open a cold beer.

Yes, by all means DO!

...then you don't have to worry about the points burning and your dwell changing, overheating, IMPORTANT things like that!!

Performance? BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! You said performance and Westy in the same sentence....

Don't expect a lot of *performance* from a Westy, just be glad you can get out of the way of MOST people in time before they run over you....it's NOT a V8!

Enjoy the ride Dude! That's what it is about!

Can I use an ignitor in a FI system? If so which kind do you recommend. Do they help much? It's a Westy so I need all the performance I can get.
