Ms3 Ultimate build

Post by bobdj1955 »

2850 Autocraft motor. Needing some direction on setting up the tune. Specifically, 1) I've wired CLT to an oil temp sensor so that I can set oil cooler fan on / off per oil temp. 2) now trying to figure out how to contol WUE off of the CHT sensor. Any help?

I think that you will have slow response with using oil temp for CLT, Mario makes a very nice CLT sensor that uses head temp instead of oil temp.
Good Luck

Wue will use the clt for warmup feedback. Use Mario's sensor for the. The Ultimate has plenty of input channels, run a sensor to your oil specifically for the fan. Thats what I have. Super simple, works great.

Thanks, good information. So I am rewiring CHT to the CLT circuit. Now I do already have temp sensors in the oil system, one is inline pre oil cooler, the other post cooler in the dry sump tank. I have them both set up in the generic sensor table as oil temp1 and oil temp2 respectively. Just not seeing how can get the fan on triggered from there inputs. Thinking I'm going to have to employ a seperate fan controller.

This would be silly! You just need to use a generic output, and tie it to that sensor channel. I like to nickname my sensor channels, then they show up other places by the right name. I have lots of switched outputs connected to my custom sensor outputs.
2 Fans
2 Pumps
Line lock

Just gotta do some reading in the manual.
