Re: How many cans
A guess: I would suspect that a can would cover correctly about 2 to 4 feet in length, on both sides of the tube, in proper 2 minimum sprays coverage. Don't forget to prime and sand also; I currently recommend, for off-road usage, a weld thru primer.

Using a prime and paint rust-oleum. Will scotch pad it then paint, Iβll spend more time on the panels.

15 cans of primer, 20 cans of color.

Just the tubing/frame. Does your car have bodywork as well?Leatherneck wrote: βSun Apr 21, 2019 2:10 pm Skid using a Paint and primer setup. Is your guess for frame or complete car?

Just the Tubing, I will spend more time and effort (eventually) on the panels. Might happen after the run. Man I need to get busy.Skidmark wrote: βMon Apr 22, 2019 8:20 amJust the tubing/frame. Re: How many cans
Rule of thumb for painting tubing - there's a ratio of one can for the paint on the frame to two cans of paint coating the floor.
