Re: Another blow thru 1600 build
Just visited VW Paradise and they actually had a single dell blow thru on a stand. Among all the 1000 hp injected engines. I’ll post some pics when I get back. Bought some stuff, too.

What's that thing mounted just below your oil filler near the dipstick and intake boot?

I wish I noticed that while I was there. Do buggies run power steering or extra alternator?

Why are the intake endpieces covered up in both photos??/
Is there something secret about them???

I looked up SCORE engines and they have power steering pump mounts like that.
And the rags are probably covering spark plug holes.

Broke a bolt trying to clock the turbo. I may just end up rebuilding it. Since I’ll have to take it apart I order to drill out the bolt.

Awww. Bummer. Or you could help yourself out and get a turbo from a WRX now. Mine works better than that Saab turbo I had ever did.

I really just want to go the budget junkyard route. Then take what I learn to the next level.

I get it. But I only paid $70 for the WRX turbo. So they are out there.
