Mastercraft tires are pretty hard. Tread wear around 500. But, your making a lot of power. No doubt there.

I'm considering something like that. My truck is finally done, so the bug will not be a daily driver anymore. I can run whatever now!

Unless you plan to drag race, i wouldn't waste money on a race compound tire. They are designed to be soft, and wear quickly. I have been perfectly happy with owning 2 sets of rear wheels for my car. One set with real deal slicks, and the other set with true street radials. I won't waste money on a hybrid set of tires until I race in a class that says i have to run a dot tire. I'd rather put the money into something else. But that's just me.

I just really like the look. Where I drive I can't imagine even putting 2500 miles a year on it. Plus once I hit that 40 psi mark I might need them!

Oh boy. So I went to the meat market early this morning (smoking a brisket and a Boston butt today). No traffic so I gave it the beans again. Ass end is definitely breaking loose and kicking out to the right! Second and third gears, and it looked like at around 18 psi. I was trying to watch the boost and speed and watch where I was going all at the same time. Wasn't really able to do any of them very well. I guess I should have taken the laptop to get a log. Must have been around the 4500-5000 rpm or a bit more because I don't usually run it up that high. 40 mph in second and 55 or so in third. Once I get 17-18 psi stuff really multiplies and starts happening super quickly. Seems like I see 17-18 psi and then 25-28 psi instantly. I won't be boosting that much very often but I guess I really should get some stickier tires just to be safe. I could turn the boost down but what's the fun in that?!

Sounds awesome! Have you turned on the auto sd logging feature? Mine logs as soon as the engine goes over 500rpm, puts a date and time stamp on there and makes it pretty simple to go back and review whatever you want.

Dang it. My car is smoking again. Not sure if it's the turbo again or the valves/rings this time. Yesterday I was trying to check the BOV because it doesn't sound right anymore. I couldn't get it to blow off, but I did hear quite a bit of air moving through the exhaust. I didn't try rotating the engine to see if it was just some valves were open or not. I was trying to diag the BOV at that time.

That sucks man. If it’s your turbo are you running an oil restriction on the feed?
