Re: Blow through 1776
After screwing around with holley pumps and wasting money, I bought a cheap e2000 inline pump. Shouldve done it from the start, supports a ton of boost, is cheap, and is simple.

I feel the same way about my in-tank pump. Has worked perfectly since I put it in and never a hiccup. Dead silent and will support like 800 hp. Hoping it lasts the rest of my life!

Re: Blow through 1776
Started a nice little jet collection... at idle it’s around 13.1 (sensor clamped in the pipe) won’t be able to get my sensor bung welded into the pipe till Monday. But I did take it for a little spin down the road, it was able to do 4lbs so far, sure put a smile on my face. I have my rev limiter set to 6000rpm. Ended up with 130 mains 57 idles 200 airs f11 emulsion. Can’t wait to be able to actually tune it. Thanks for the advice about richening it up. And the smaller turbo will be here Monday too

So can I use one of those e2000 pumps with the regulator I have right now? It’s a holly boost sensitive FPR

The 2000 pump is what you need. Along with a rising rate regulator that goes low enough for the carb.

Holley blue is cool until you want more than 11psi of boost!

Re: Blow through 1776
So work permitting, I’ll be able to get my pipe fabbed tomorrow. How should I go about tuning? What AFR am I shooting for? I as far as main jets I’ve got 115-145 and everything in between, and 180-200 airs, and 28 and 34mm vents. How am I going to know weather or not to change my vents, or emulsion tubes? Is there a science behind all this? Or just mix and match mains and airs till I get it right?

Re: Blow through 1776
I would start with the small venturis so you get good signal and air speed through the carb. In my expience the most important thing about carb blow through is to get a good boost signal to the fuel bowls. That usually means extending the float bowl vents up into the boost hat but the mod rings might do that for you also.
Carbs operate off of pressure differential so keep that in mind.

Re: Blow through 1776
Got my new turbo, pipe done, afr hooked up. I’m about 13 at idle, driving it drops between 11-12 accelerating, getting up in the RPMs it goes to about 14-15. Does this mean I should drop my air jets to a smaller size? Or should I try those turbo emulsion tubes?

that's to lean up top you want to be in the 11-12 range
up the mains and or drop the airs
and cap off them heater outlets before it runs hot,

Got it into the 12s with my afr... changed the airs, and the emulsion tubes, unfortunately you guys are right, can’t get past 7lbs boost. Anyone looking for a lightly used holly red?

Go straight to e2000, or else you will end up like me with a bunch of dumb pumps.

Re: Blow through 1776
Airtex makes one im sure. The E2000 is an inline pump used in a number of ford applications from the 80s/90s, so there are probably a ton of manufacturers.
I use one with a CB regulator and it has no problems regulating down to 3psi, and boost referencing up to 30psi.
