Buying a Fuel Pressure gauge 1-1/2" 1-100 PSI

Post by panel »

Anyone have a recommendation as to what is a good , better or best quality fuel pressure gauge 1-1/2" 1-100 PSI ? Marshall , Winters , Fuel Lab , Aeromotive , Magna Fuel , Holley , Summit , Autometer , FAST....... the list goes on etc.

Looking to mount one in the engine compartment and would like to see what brands you guys have used with luck and ones that have failed.

My only comment is that Spectra version is absolute garbage https://www.spectreperformance.com/5901 ... sure-gauge as fuel seeps through the face.
High risk of engine fire, suggest caring a pipe plug, would not use again. If I was to revisit I would think a oil pressure/warning light contraption would be better, just figure out the low pressure starvation point and use that to trigger a warning lamp.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

Just fit a transducer near the fuel pump and use an input on the ECU. Most of the gauges I've had have eventually failed or leaked and what use is it in the engine bay except for setting the initial pressure

Paul , is there a 0-100 PSI 1/8" NPT transducer that you've been using with good luck ?

I've use 3 types .
VDO that DTA used to supply
Autometer electronic gauge which was nice- runs off the transducer and had a 0-5v output for datalogger/ECU
AEM sender
They are all 1/8th fittings
Was a while since I used one
