With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

If you are using super unleaded? then I think you can add about 4 degrees timings at least to all your on boost areas, and lean it out 0.7 afr so were its at 11.5 at 150kpa i would be at least 12.2 and still be plenty safe.
At moment you are killing the ring seal at 10.5 afr at that boost so need to cut a big chunk out of fueling, your timing map looks like mine does on the 1303 but with another 100kpa boost on it ;) But seriously a little more timing and get that fuel a lot nearer and it will make boost a lot quicker

Thanks Richie,

yeah super unleaded, 99RON so they say...?! tescos one.

i'll try adding about 4 degrees and then blend it in. and get closer to that target, the 10 AFR was just what the generated map was at which is normally a super rich get you running map. i'll target 12.2 at 150 and then blend that up to 12.5 at 100kpa and see how it likes it!

haha just another 100kpa to add on then! i'll pull off the waste gate line that might get me close!

this engine never liked 30 degrees NA at WOT anyways and preferred 28 it seemed.

also i could get it to idle at 14 easily today too, or leaner if i wanted..... which i couldn't do before which is odd

so i'm at about 150kpa now
If you're dropping one degree per psi, why does it look like you're running 28 degrees or so at 75kpa (~11psi)?

I'm probably just not understanding the ignition table.

75kpa isn't boost. Boost is anything above 100kpa, assuming sea level.

Oh I see then! It's an absolute scale. I was dumb and just popped 75kpa into a unit converter and didnt realize the scale starts below atmospheric.
