Be careful with the single caster when moving it around especially where there are seams in the pavement or rough spots as they can hang up and or fight you. They don't always want to pivot on the spot too. I've had similar problems even with 2 casters per corner.

Yeah this one is an 800 pound caster and 8" hard rubber. It seems to roll pretty well. I'm used to troubles with casters though. We have a dozen car's on casters at any given moment at the shop. Thanks for lookin out for me!

I tapped my return port for the full flow system, but my tap did not going in strait and the plug screws in at angle. Can I re-tap for second shot at it or will that just screw up my threads?

Yep. Mine will be getting JB weld this time around.
I didn't drill mine deep enough the first time, so i had to go back in and drill it again. Hogged out the hole a little too much. The fitting will now thread all the way in but it's a bit sloppy. It tightens up, but oil still gets around the threads. JB weld to the rescue.

Yeah this was not my proudest moment. But it happened. I considered drilling and tapping to the next size, but i don't want to make things any thinner than necessary. Next i will probably just replace the case, but not today!

The only correct way of fixing it is to core drill it to a size that will accept an aluminum sleeve ,weld the sleeve to the outside face of the case, and the drill and tap the sleeve back to the correct size.
BUT, that means stripping it down. I would do this rather than JB weld it as its a hack job.
Youv'e put to much money and time into it to do a crappy fix .
Machine shop job imo.
The little jobs that I need doing are done by the pro's ,just incase I eff UP an expensive case/crank etc
Doing a job twice pxxxes me right off, these days I just pay the money, less stress that way.

I don't disagree with that, but i will probably just band aid it with JB weld. I'm already thinking about trying a bigger cam so maybe if i decide to do that, i will do a better repair then.

I'm building a full custom 68 Camaro for a guy and he wants it for his wedding which is next Saturday. Today I'm the doors and fenders.. Etc... Looks like I'm barely going to make it on time, and that's if there are no problems!

I've considered it. My big hangup is that i only have 14 miles on this engine. Haven't really given it a chance. It's just that it has so much more low end than i expected, i feel there is some there to spare in the name of more HP.
Then again, im already a week behind my schedule because I'm working so much.

That's the plan. But i know there is more HP up there just waiting for me to take it. I was only at 12-13 psi. Plan to double that.

Nah you didn't miss much. I had a car to build from 100% new parts and i had to have it finished by this past Saturday. It's gone, and tonight i started pulling the VW trans apart. Whoops!! Wasn't the trans after all.
I am going to sand blast the bottom of the car this weekend and spray it with bedliner. Next weekend i will be replacing all the hard brake lines, and i may go ahead and put disk brakes on the back. My drums need a full rebuild so i may as well just go to disks instead.
Weekend after that i will be cutting the rear apron off to make it removable, then start prepping for a quick repaint. Hopefully i can bang this out in the next few weeks and get it back on the road. It's starting to get almost cool enough out to drive!
