If the these two fuel pumps were the same price what would be the better pump to buy?
Bosch Specs: Part Number: 0580 254 044 Minimum Current: 12 Volts / 13 Amp Operating Pressure: 72.5 PSI (5 Bar) Minimum Flow @ Outlet: 80 GPH (300 LPH) High Pressure Fuel Pump Location: In-Line High Temperature Reduction: 8 GPH (30 LPH) Dimensions: 196mm Length x 60mm Diameter Weight: 1030 Grams (2.27 Pounds) Fuel Pump
Walbro Specs: Fuel Pump: GSS341
The Walbro high output in-tank electric fuel pumps are available in flow ratings of 255 liters of fuel per hour. These particular pumps flow significantly more fuel at higher pressure. For example, at 80 PSI the standard 255 lph pump will flow around 132 liters (35 gallons) per hour. At that same 80 PSI the equivalent HP (high pressure) fuel pump will flow over 210 liters (50 gallons) per hour.

No. I have an external CIS pump right now but might swap in the Fall/Winter. Prolly easiest to do a swap from Bosch to Bosch but thought I'd ask.

I don't trust the manufactorers claim on fuel delivery specs..
Do a detailed search, and get the one with the highest hp potensial.

Do you plan to up the boost? Either pump is going to be perfectly acceptable under 300hp. The Bosch 044 pumps just need special attention to the fuel input as they have don't produce suction.

Re: Bosch 044 or the Walbro 255 ?
I have a Bosch pump from a 1994 Volvo 940 turbo. I've been running it since I started FI in 2013.
It has a 13mm inlet and a 1/4 inch mm equivalent outlet.
I run a 1/2 inch hose feeding it and a banjo to banjo into a Golf FI filter....then a banjo to 5/16ths to my pressure line to the back.

I run the same filter as you. What's the p/n of the pump you're running ?

I can't read the Part number on the pump.....But you can get lots of hits on a replacement pump on Bing.
The only thing about that pump is it takes a special connector for power and ground. It might be Volvo specific. I happened to cut the connectors off the Volvo when I grabbed the pump.
