Going to stick with my original 100 x 76 thanks to comments here and my reluctance to give up wall thickness in heads and cylinders and material from crankcase. My BIG question here is: what rod setup clears both the cam and case at this stroke?
Pauter light weights: same price as their thick beef versions, but you have to ask for them.
Yes, they cost ($ 900,- or so these days?), but you specify length and its the most awesome set you 'll ever use.

do you have the crankshaft already ? Just some information , I'm using a 78mm AA crank , 50mm journal (2lt) with 5.325" rods from EMW with 5/16 bolts . No clearancing was needed at all , I'm using a CB cam with 0.430" cam lift that is not clearanced.

Getting a set of custom pauter rods with 23.5mm pin size may be expensive on first glance but if you combine using cheaper 100mm mopar pistons then the cost for getting the best is not that bad . (Have you got the 100mm P&C ? )

Does the heater De-mister have to run off the exhaust or can you use a decent electric unit ?

48mm IDF's will be fine . Sorry can't help on the clutch/flywheel for the 901 box .

while we are speaking of pauter rods, does anyone happen to know how much their chromoly steel rods cost roughly? or titanium rods? i checked their site and they don't list any prices for either custom or off the shelf rods. just wanting to get an idea before I contact them. thanks

Didn't I just wrote that (their roughly cost, exactly that) in the post above?

I don't have the crank yet, because I have been calling AA for several days and get no answer and no call back from messages left. Are they still in business???? sure as hell don't behave as if.

European Motor Works in California , give Jorge a call and he can recommend the best way to progress , If I was to do another engine , I go with a DPR 76mm crank with type1 journals , that way you have a better selection of rods off the shelf . A set of I beam rods should have enough material to have the pin bush increased from 22mm to 23.5mm

Spoke with Jose today at DPR. Seems like a great guy. Will go with his 76 and a 215 with it. Not sure about rods, but probably go with his H beam stock 2.0 journal, length and pin....IF the JE pistons have room for 24mm pin with the extra 2.5mm stroke.

Would like some advice/comments on that one.

Double check surface hardness on the welded DPR cranks. I had one once that was relatively soft. I am sure it works still, but harder is better I think.

the longer rods have 22mm pins ,if you wanted to keep a better rod ratio . all depends what P&C kit you are using and the compression height of the pins . If you go with chev 2" journals or type 1 55mm journals there is more selection in off the shelf rods .

With the stroker 103mm JE pistons AA sells (22mm pin ) 5.325 rods and a 78mm stroke , I think my cylinders were made 2mm longer than stock . It was a few years ago .
