I understand that. The way i built my turbo engine i have to take it down to a long block and then put it in and bolt everything on. Same for disassembly.

Perhaps with the new throttle body... But for now, no. Requires deck lid standoffs. With the new throttle body, I intend on making sure I can close the deck lid properly.

While I wait for parts, decided to work on the fuel rails. CB Performance did not machine them for 1/4" NPT very well, only 1/2 the threads would go in. Tapped them fully. Polished them up as well. Although, these are the only shiny bits in the engine compartment... Yeah, black or galvanized grey huh?

What are you guys doing for your VAC/Boost reference?? On my SP end castings, I tapped and installed small vacuum lines on both sides. It was a solid signal on my analog gauge, no jumping/jitteryness. Thinking about doing the same, although I don't see how to do it hidden. Perhaps on vacuum line on the T manifold... What do you guys think?

I'm actually wishing I hadn't polished them. Any way to make these look raw again? Sand blasting? Steel wool?

Stating the obvious: which ever method to age the bright parts you use be sure to protect the taper of the fittings as "smooth" is there for a reason.
