CB Gen4 EFI - Some info on the system

Post by Tony Z »

A while back I decided to take the plunge and get myself the CB Gen4 EFI kit and run it on my 2332 T1, NA, webcam 86C...

One thing that I was always worried about was the lack of information on how it works and how the tuning tables can be accessed, especially the "learn" table.
A while back, CB released two videos on how to get the system started, but after roughly 2 years, there has still been no follow up videos.
Also, they have never actually released a manual on how to use the system.

To help fill this gap, I've decided to make a couple of videos to answer the questions I had before I bought the system.
Hopefully over time, I"ll add a few more, but for now, its just the 4.

I see you had problems with the big beef manifolds and fuel rails.
I guess those could indeed be better when sold in the off the shelf kit.

I run a single tb and enlarged ''stock'' endcastings. But i also had to adjust the way they hold the injectors down.

I don't run the idle air valve and don't have much problems on cold starts. I just have to feather the idle when cold a bit. Startups are arround 750 800 rpms but when warmed up, steady at 1000rpm.

As for the loom, when you order a kit you can ask to have more in and outputs and they will make that for you at desired lenght.

It's not that hard to adapt the loom yourself.

After my initial install I added a shift light, and a relay for my fans on my intercooler. Wich can be controlled from the ecu at varrious values.

Contact me if you want to know how.

This is a reply after seeing your first video.

I'll look at the other 2 later today!

Where are you located?

I understand that you can ask for more stuff to be included in the loom, but my issue is that, as a customer, you dont actually know what is in there, so you dont know what you are not being supplied with. As a DIY install kit, it should come with all the wires installed, even if it is only 1ft in length
