Looking for a light bar

Post by MattinPG »

I’m hoping someone can make a suggestion regarding where I can find a replacement light bar for this Bugatti kit car. , it goes between the two struts and carries the headlights. The one I have is damaged one of the ears that supports the left headlight is broken off, and the chrome is flaking everywhere.

I suppose I could weld it and paint it, but it would be nice to get to find a replacement. I took a look at some of the VW dune buggy parts, but couldn’t find anything.

Quickest solution would be to repair yours. Nobody sells a part like that now.

As Steve recommends, fixing it yourself is probably more expedient... however, looking at the pictures, I think maybe going with a fresh build instead of repair. I'd do it in Stainless, as the materials won't be too expensive to make the part, and you will eliminate corrosion and could likely have a part that would last forever. Even with some Heavy stock machined to replace the mounting points... I would say it would be worth a stab for sure.
