Beetle Ej20 and Alfa radiator

Evening, back on with the conversion. How do people route radiator hoses for final part into back of radiator from underside pipes. Cut holes through old wheel well and sleeve high level or low level. Don't want any air pockets. Also fans fitting 2 no 225mm are these better obviously on rear higher or lower part of radiator?.
