Hi everyone,
I bought this 62' Karmann Ghia a few weeks ago with a fairly fresh built 1914cc in it. I don't have much info on the engine but I know it was built with the following parts. Would this be considered more of a stock rebuild or something with a little bit more horsepower? If you have a moment let me know what you think. Thanks!
Scat counter weighted crank
Engle 120 cam
042 Big valve heads
Dual Kadron 40mm carburetors
A1 Sidewinder ceramic coated exhaust
1914cc Engine parts list, are these good or just OK parts for a rebuild?

If nicely tuned, it should make a little more horsepower than stock, for sure. It's definitely not going to be an animal, but should have a bit more pep to it.

If its got larger valves, a 120 cam & 1.9ltre, you could be looking at 80 to 120hp depending on the small details such as porting of the heads ( can make or break the combo) and the compression ratio (dictated by the piston height at TDC & the combustion chamber volume).
A build like that is more complex than a stock engine since you have details like the rocker geometry to measure, adjust& check.
