1.7 Stroker motor

Came up with two 1.7 Porsche 914 motors and two 2.0 bus motors. Is there any experience with stroking a 1.7 with a 2.0 crankshaft? Toying with the idea of stroking one of the 1.7's. Thoughts?

Straight swap. You need the 2.0 crank, rods & the pistons that have the correct height (between pin & crown). Also the 1.7 heads have a smaller bore which only fits the 1.7 cylinders so they need machined to work with 94mm cylinders.

Another minor detail. The bus engine will probably have the gearbox pilot bearing inside the crank whereas the 914 will have it fitted to the flywheel (depends on the length of the gearbox input shaft)
