34 ICTs on T-IV type III

Hi Guys,

I have a pair of 34 ICTs that I want to mount on a type 4 engine that I'm installing in my type 3 Squareback. I know type 4 manifolds for the 34 ICTs exist, but are they short enough to fit under the type 3 deck.

If there's a kit for the 412 Squareback that uses 34 ICT, I think those manifolds would work.

Anyone know?

My co-worker just showed me his Weber Carbs and they are 34 ICT on Type IV manifolds.Height from bottom of manifold to base of carb is 6 inches.Check your space and see if they will fit.He has 2 carbs and manifolds no linkage.Needs overhaul but thottle shafts are free.Let me know they should be pretty cheap.$50 or so.

Thanks for the info. Based on my measurements, there's no way those manifolds will fit.

On the type III engine, the ICT manifolds are only about 3" tall and the carbs BARELY fit.
