ok I have gone and done it...... and If this is not vw'ish enough let me know and I wont bother you anymore. But I have now in my hands a 68 912 and a 86 Subaru RX turbo,
( SOHC EA 82 ) I KNOW I can get the engine in there .... but my plans include a coil over suspension ( possible the air adjustable for height stock subaru ) and the 4wd system as well. I have not checked into pricing yet but I see where several after market places make a "coil over conversion " spring plate ( ala 935) for the 911 series Porsche's it might be worth looking into for those of you wanting coil over on a VW suggestions comments encouragement and beratements all accepted thanks for listening
