Type 4 volks engine in Porsche 911t??
Porsche 911t transmission fits bolt pattern to volks engine. Porsche 914 flywheel used. Is it possible to substitute vw clutch for expensive Porsche unit? Any other mods to engine mount, or throw out bearing arm??? Please help me.. Thank you much, Any info would be appreciated on this subject......... Neil

Hello
The pre 1970 911 T uses the same friction and pressure plate like the VW Bus or the 914.
The 914 TOB is similar.
In germany the Porsche clutch is a bit cheaper then the VW clutch.
The reson is that Buses where used by staate and comercial companys who didn´t have to turn the dime twice.
Aftermarked price makes no difference in brand ( LUK, Sachs, Valeo for sure ).
If you have a 2,2 on you only can get the friction plate. It is used as a high performance/race clutch for Volvo and Opel with ZF trany.
