i was wondering if a 2002 wrx motor will work in a ghia
and are there adapter plates available and what all parts do i need to tell the junkjard for this to work? i.e. computer ,
ingnition , and do i need to do any cutting to the ghia for this to fit
i have been planning on turbo and injecting my 2275 plus it needs rebuilt after only 3000 miles
after some time to think about cost and reaserching all possibilities of the subaru i think that would be the best bet for me

somehow i dont think that would be easy. you could take the entire WRX driveline sans the AWD unit and flip the R&P and find a way to mount it into a ghia. and then find a good place for the radiator

You can do it with an adaptor kit from kennedy engineering products. There is a website were a bloke put a wrx engine into his 356 replica. If you do a search you should find it as i cant remember the url.

This should be a reasonably easy swap, the only complications comming from trans strength and wiring, as the suby motor runs all signals to the dash and back to the ecu. Therefore wiring can be a real bitch. You should start your research by firing off an email to this guy :

and also to Richard:

Good luck Image
